Committees

HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS During the 2005 legislative session, Janna was appointed to the House Appropriations Committee, the only first time Republican Representative given this opportunity, although nearly all representatives requested this placement. During the 2007 session, she was promoted to Vice-Chair. She was chosen because leadership recognized her ability to understand the fiscal notes attached to a bill and her knowledge of the budget.

During the 2009 session Janna was Vice-chair of House Taxation. This is the committee that hears the revenue estimates. The Director of the Department of Revenue said that now Representative Taylor is one of the few that understands where state money cmes from and where it goes. She also was a member of the Transportation and Agriculture Committees. 

INTERIM FINANCE Between sessions Janna is a member of the Interim Finance Committee. This committee assignment allows Janna to continue her focus on the budgeting process and her work to make state government as efficient as possible.

She has also been a member of the Interim Audit Committee.
